Dr.Amitava Ray passed B.E in Production Engineering from Jadavpur University in 1994, M.E in Production Engineering (Specialization in Manufacturing Engineering) from Mumbai University in 2001 and PhD in Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2010. He received Emerald Literati Network award 2012 for the research paper entitled Green Energy Source Selection (GES) Based on Multi-criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA),published in International Journal of Energy Sector Management and best paper award from Institution of Engineers, 2016. Dr.Ray has published more than 100 research papers in the National & International Journals. He has served six years in Industries and 20 years in academic Institution. Presently, he is working as Principal of Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College. He has guided research scholars in Green manufacturing, Green Energy, Nontraditional machining process and supply chain management. Dr. Ray is working on a research project on Green supply chain management project under Department of science & Technology and Biotechnology, Govt. of West-Bengal.
