Ashim Roy passed B.E in Mechanical Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Durgapur. Presently known as NIT, Durgapur) in 1993, M. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (Specialization in Material Handling Science and Technology) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur ( IIT Kgp) in 1995 .
